Janes receives Silver Award for its continued support to the armed forces community

Janes has been awarded the Silver status in the United Kingdom's Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS), an initiative that encourages employers to support defence and inspire others to do the same.

Janes reaffirmed its dedication to the armed forces community by signing the Armed Forces Covenant in November 2021 and being awarded the Bronze status in the Defence ERS in 2023.

Blake Bartlett, CEO of Janes, said, “We are honoured that Janes has supported the world’s armed forces for more than 120 years and we look forward to many more years of working in partnership.” He added, “Janes is committed to creating a working environment that offers the best possible support to this talented community; achieving Silver status is an important recognition of all we’ve done so far and an exciting next step towards our plans for continued support.”

A significant number of serving, reserve, and veteran personnel as well as military partners make up the Janes global team, providing essential expertise to our business. Janes supports the armed forces community through several people-focused initiatives, including volunteering activities, supporting armed forces-related charities, an internal armed forces affinity group, and ‘Lunch and Learn’ sessions where the wider team can hear from our armed forces colleagues on how they bring together their military experience and apply it to work, and how their service and their life and work at Janes intersect.

Andrew Galer, Head of Land Platforms, who also serves as a reservist and is a former regular with the Rifles regiment, said, “Janes continues to support colleagues who are active reservists and veterans.
