Australian company DroneShield has launched a new tool that can help defence forces keep track of incidents involving unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

DroneShield announced the launch of this platform at the Avalon Australian International Airshow 2025, held in Australia's southeastern state of Victoria from 25 to 30 March.

DroneShield said its new tool called the unmanned aircraft system (UAS) Incident platform “aggregates and analyses open-source data, offering real-time intelligence on [UAV] activities, security breaches, and emerging [UAV] threats”.

The UAS Incident platform can help customers “conduct their own analysis on emerging trends, specific to their safety and security risk profile” by tracking and assessing security breaches triggered by UAV activities.

Company CEO Oleg Vornik told Janes on 26 March, “The [UAS] Incident platform is now available at no additional cost to every DroneShield customer [through the company's customer portal] with a device subscription. We expect it to be a popular value-add for our customers.”

DroneShield also displayed its DroneSentry counter-UAS (C-UAS) suite with some of the latest upgrades at Avalon 2025.

Vornik said, “The new DroneSentry variants incorporate significantly more options for capability and price points, including RADA's RFP-82 long-range radars and FLIR Ranger cameras for the top-end capability, well suited for larger sites such as air or army bases.”

The DroneSentry C-UAS suite includes a range of modular optical, radar, and radio frequency (RF) sensors. In October 2023 DroneShield integrated Israel-based DRS RADA Technologies' RPS-82 4D active electronically scanned array (AESA) pulse-Doppler radar into DroneSentry.
