Turkish company STM displayed a Kargu loitering munition fitted with a model of a new interchangeable anti-tank warhead at the Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX) held in Baku from 24 to 26 September.

An STM representative told Janes that the new warhead successfully completed testing in August, but was unable to provide details about its capabilities.

The Kargu was previously only available with a directional anti-personnel warhead that the company says weighs 1.4 kg and generates 840 pieces of fragmentation. It is an electrically powered quadcopter with a take-off weight of 7.6 kg with the standard day camera and 7.8 kg with a thermal camera.

STM announced on 30 September that it has also completed the integration of a radio frequency seeker warhead that enables the Kargu to detect and destroy radars and electronic warfare systems.
