Milanion Group showcased new loitering munition launcher and counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) variants of its Agema multi-purpose 8×8 unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) at IDEX 2023, being held in Abu Dhabi from 20 to 24 February.
The loitering munition launcher variant consists of a launcher for four MSP Inntech Warble Fly loitering munitions mounted in the cargo area of the Agema UGV. Speaking to Janes at IDEX 2023, Ahmed Yasser, head of engineering at Milanion, said that the launcher and its loitering munitions have a combined weight of less than 100 kg, and that an option is available to fit a larger launcher for eight Warble Flys.
The Warble Fly has a maximum take-off weight (MTOW) of 6 kg and can be fitted with a choice of five warheads: the GO-1 high-explosive fragmentation (HE-FRAG); GK-1 high-explosive anti-tank (HEAT); TBX thermobaric; and two types of GO-1 training warhead. The GK-1 is capable of perforating between 250 and 300 mm of rolled homogenous armour equivalency (RHAe), although a version designed to be able to increase this to 400 mm RHAe is under development.
