Moog will show its Reconfigurable Integrated-weapons Platform (RIwP) at the Defence Vehicle Demonstration (DVD) 2024 exhibition held in Millbrook, United Kingdom, on 18 and 19 September. At DVD, the company is presenting RIwP in short-range air defence (SHORAD) configuration on a British Army Ridgeback 4×4 protected mobility vehicle as a proposal for the UK's Land Ground-Based Air Defence (GBAD) Programme.

RIwP is designed to be open and modular, as well as sensor-, weapon-, and vehicle-agnostic, allowing end-users to install their choice of equipment on it and to add and change weapons and sensors when needed, according to Moog.

The vehicle-mounted RIwP being shown at DVD includes missile canisters for the High Velocity Missile (HVM) and the Lightweight Multirole Missile (LMM), as well as an advanced gunner's sight. In addition, the RIwP being displayed is armed with a 30×113 mm main gun and an M240 7.62 mm machine gun, which according to Moog can co-exist on the same turret as the missiles with no degradation in effector performance.

At DVD, a one-third-scale model of RIwP is also being shown in an anti-armour overwatch configuration equipped with twin dual-Brimstone rails, as well as a 30×113 mm main gun and an M240 7.62 mm machine gun.

RIwP is in service with the US Army in SHORAD and counter-small aerial target roles, which Moog said makes it a mature, low-risk design and offers the possibility of increasing UK-US interoperability.
