Proforce of Nigeria has confirmed that both Mali and Nigeria have placed orders for the PF Hulk protected vehicle at the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) 2025 held in Abu Dhabi from 17 to 21 February. Janes has also been able to confirm that the vehicles are produced under licence in Nigeria.
Originally from Russia, the PF Hulk is a licence-produced AMN-590951 ‘Spartak' 4×4 protected vehicle that can seat 2+8 in a five-door configuration. It has a gross vehicle weight of 14.5 tonnes and is powered by a 6.65 litre YaMZ-536 six-cylinder engine producing 360 hp, coupled to a six- or five-speed automatic or manual gearbox, respectively. The mine protection according to STANAG 4569 is stated to meet levels 2a and 2b.
Proforce is also offering an Otokar Cobra upgrade named the PF Viper. The upgrade takes the base Otokar Cobra vehicle and adds an extra pair of doors to increase it to a five-door configuration, and also addresses the engine cooling to better adapt the vehicle to Africa's environment. The weight of the PF Viper is stated to be seven tonnes, with the vehicle powered by a 3 litre V6 Hyundai S2D6EB producing up to 250 hp.
