Based on Bagliettoā€™s FFC 15 design, the fast attack craft (or combat boats in Italian Navy service) will be built of composite materials and feature a deep-V hull for improved maneuverability and seakeeping performance at high speeds.

The craft will displace 20 tonnes at full load, including a maximum payload of 4,500 kg, and have an overall length of 15.8 m and a 3.6 m beam.

A propulsion package featuring two 800 HP engines will provide a maximum speed of 40 kt (in light displacement), with a range of 300 n miles at a cruising speed of 35 kt when fully loaded.

The vessels, which feature ballistic protection up to 7.62 NATO caliber, will be operated by a crew of three and feature removable seats for the transportation of up to 22 personnel.

A watertight two-section hull door is located forward under the main deck for the embarkation and disembarkation of troops. The door can be opened while at sea, during maneuvering, and when moving at low speeds.

Armament includes a Leonardo remotely controlled Hitrole-N turret with a 12.7 mm gun positioned on top of the pilot house.
