Davey Gibian, Janes Vice-President of Innovation, will be taking part in the RIA colloquium presenting on ‘Open secrets: harnessing the value of open-source alternative data’.
In the second of three colloquia on the strategic, operational, and organisational impact of the RIA on national intelligence, Davey will present to the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on the value of open-source alternative data.

About Davey Gibian, Vice President of Intelligence Innovation at Janes
Davey is responsible for building on Janes’ industry-leading open-source tradecraft through interconnected data, machine-driven insights, and analytic solutions. He joined Janes in 2020 following a career at the intersection of national security and technology, including as a White House Presidential Innovation Fellow, detailed to organizations including the DoD’s Defence Innovation Unit and the IC. He has built several technology firms including CalypsoAI, an AI/ML security company serving national security customers, and OMG, a denied environment data company, and helped scale Palantir. Davey has extensive experience building technology solutions for, and working directly with, warfighters and IC professionals. He served in the US Air Force.
