Indian firm MKU Limited displayed its new Kavro SCH 111 T ‘Veer' helmet at the Aero India 2023 show being held in Bangalore from 13 to 17 February.
The company said the helmet is designed specifically for Sikh soldiers. It said the shape of the helmet allows it to be worn over a cloth patka or turban and will provide all-around ballistic protection across the head.
The helmet offers NIJ Level IIIA protection, which can resist 9 mm bullets. MKU said the helmet is lightweight, anti-allergic, all-weatherproof, chemical safe, and built for excellent shock absorption.
The helmet also provides fragmentation protection as well as infrared reflectance. It is also compatible with the modular accessory connector system (MACS), which enables the user to integrate torches, cameras, helmet covers, eyewear devices, and night-vision goggles (NVGs) into the helmet.
The Veer helmet also has a bolt-free design for protection across the helmet shell and a Twisfit stability harness to provide stability when used with NVGs and other accessories.
